A Distinguished Science Alumni of Purdue University, Brad Surak graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science before launching a career in the technology field. Over the course of more than 25 years, he has held leadership positions with several organizations, including Fortune 100 companies. At GE Digital, Brad Surak served as a chief product officer and general manager of industrial internet applications before becoming the company's chief operating officer. In 2017, he joined Hitachi Vantara, where he serves as president of digital solutions.

In his work, Mr. Surak leads cross-disciplinary teams comprising experts in data science and AI and professionals focused on the non-tech aspects of manufacturing, energy, transportation, and other industries. Among other areas, he maintains a professional interest in connected products and smart spaces, including everything from everyday consumer products to large pieces of industrial equipment. Mr. Surak also pursues an interest in using artificial intelligence and other technology to address critical environmental issues.

Outside of work, Brad Surak enjoys spending time with his family traveling and exploring the outdoors. His favorite activities include skiing, hiking, and mountain biking.
